Dad's Last Day before another TDY

This is Michael typing this part of the blog. I apologize in advance.
The two boys just hanging out. Jack has now lost his eyes from all the pictures we take. In fact, my lovely wife Jenny is taking pictures as I write this. Purple Man Luke (long story) is just hanging out and being the best baby ever.
These are pics of the jeans I wore while Jack and I went for a walk. Mommy and Luke headed to the Commissary and Jack and I decided to go on the Mud Walk. It was a little cold, wet, and windy but I have to get the young Lad ready for upstate NY somehow. Don't tell Mommy but I took off his pretty purple gloves and let him go around and get mud all over the place. I guess I am not that good at hiding the evidence.....you would think as a defense attorney I would be better than this. Anyhow, it was a very special day with my very special son.

After All Saint's Day Mass. Gotta Love Jack's smile.

Jack last Halloween

Here are some pics from last Halloween... enjoy!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Happy Halloween! Well our first "real" Halloween together was awesome! Last year we were in SC and although we had a great time passing out candy with Grammy and Grandpa, Jack wasn't old enough to trick-or-treat, and Michael wasn't with us. Michael had today off and we carved our first pumpkin together. We really thought Jack would enjoy it... he had other thoughts. But, it was fun for us nonetheless. We went over to a friend's place around 6'ish to do some trick-or-treating in the military housing neighborhood. Jack was ADORABLE! I was a little worried that he would be scared of some of the costumes we saw, but it didn't faze him a bit. He kept trying to go into people's houses, though :o) He would say "teet" and wait for his candy. Once he figured out what was happening he was a man on a mission! He didn't put his pumpkin bag down once. Unfortunately, our teet-ing session was cut short by a screaming brother, Luke. He was probably mad at us for our poor choice in costumes for him... he went as a baby in a carseat. Poor Luke, we promise to be more original next year!

Twice is Nice!

He's done it again! Luke slept through the night again, last night!!! We couldn't be happier... or more rested :o) We all got some great sleep last night....and the world seems a little brighter today! I even think the sun might come out for a while :o)

8 HOURS.... YIPPEE!!!

YAY!!!!!! YIPPEE!!!!! Luke slept for 8 hours straight last night!!!!! I hope I am not jinxing it by posting this :o) He went to sleep about 9:15 and woke up at 5:30 am -- ate, and then went back to sleep until 8:00 am. It's funny, but both Michael and I slept terrible last night... go figure! Hopefully we'll all get some great sleep tonight :o)

The other part....

We traveled a whole 45 minutes into Luxembourg on Saturday. We have been there a dozen times since we've lived in Germany, but never really walked around in Lux City. The weather was gorgeous and so we decided to take advantage of it. We had a great time walking around the casemates (http://luxembourg.arounder.com/bock_casemates/). Jack loved his big leaves... seriously, they were the biggest leaves we have ever seen! After our stroll, we braved the Walmart-like crowd of the mall in Lux. We went specifically to stock up on beer and wine for our upcoming move. The parking garage here has to be the tightest parking garage known to man. After driving all the way to the bottom (we have to find two spots together to feel comfortable pulling our van in...ha ha!) to find a good spot, we venture in. It really wasn't too painful.... but when we got back to our car we realized we had parked RIGHT in front of the drive-thru drink shop. We could have just pulled right in and loaded up the car! Oh well.... we'll know better next time :o)
