Luke is scoot-crawling!

Luke is definitely on the move! He isn't quite crawling, but it's a little more than scooting. He gets up on all fours and sort of launches himself foward... it's a little wierd, but it works. He made it all the way across the room tonight to help Jack and Papa build a Leggo tower.

We had a warm front today.... in the upper 30's.... so we took advantage of the balmy weather and headed out for a stroll. Jack hasn't quite mastered the art of pedaling, but we're working on it. Good thing Grammy was there to push him along :o)

Potty Time

Ahhhhh..... two year olds are just too funny sometimes :o) Jack went into the bathroom tonight and brought me his potty. I was sitting at the kitchen table feeding Luke and he marches right up with this thing and yells "POTTY!!" He then proceeds to take the potty in to show Papa how he can sit on it. He just kept yelling "POTTY". I refuse to believe that he is ready to start potty training.... but at least this is a start.... a funny start :o)

Underway....

Michael left this morning for his government vacation :o) Now that we are underway.... I am going to be updating the blog every day....yes, every day! I imagine it will be filled with details that seem meaningless, but I hope it will keep Michael feeling closer to what's going on here. Day one, almost done.... only 365 to go. I am more thankful now than ever for the wonderful, supportive, and loving people in our lives.

Happy Birthday (Again) Jack!!!

We celebrated Jack's big day once again.... but this time was with Daddy! We had a special dinner of Morrocan chicken with sweet potatoes and cous-cous. Grammy set up a table in the living room right in front of the fireplace. It was wonderful! We played ring-around-the-rosey and had fun with balloons! Jack had the best little time! He especially loved his football cake!

Red, White and Blue (Times Two!)

This is my absolute favorite picture of Jack! I couldn't wait for Luke to turn 6 months so we could try to take the same pic of him. I love it!! Jack always was a chubbier baby, but I can see the resemblance now more than ever.
(This is a picture of a picutre... so it's not the clearest.)

Mr. Potato Head

Some great friends sent Jack his first Mr. Potato head as a birthday gift! He did pretty well for his first time putting one together. He has an ear for a mouth, an ear for an arm, a tounge for a nose, and teeth for an ear.... not too shabby!

Baltimore and McGuire AFB

We left on Thursday morning for Baltimore to pick up our van. There was this awesome park right by the airport. We saw about 15 planes land while we were there. Jack thought it was the coolest thing in the world! Riding in a make-believe choo-choo train was so much fun with Cousin Josh!

Jack was pretending his leaf was an airplane.... it was adorable :o)

It was actually pretty cool to see these planes landing right over this playground!

Jack was in awe.......

Grammy and Jack raced down the slide!

Jack was going too fast down head first... oops! Yes, instead of helping him up I was busy taking pictures!

Luke was there, too, of course.

Finally, we made to McGuire AFB and got to see Daddy! Michael has been learning magic tricks at his training.

JACK IS TWO!!!

My baby is TWO!!! I can't believe it, he is growing up so fast! He continues to amaze me every day with the things he understands and says and I couldn't be more proud as I watch him grow. We won't be offically celebrating his big day until Michael gets home next weekend.... but we had a great day making cookies and had his favorite dinner... pizza and applesauce!

We've been busy....

We've been keeping pretty busy over the past few days. We've transformed the basement into Jack's playroom and he is having a ball. The weather has been warmer over the past few days and the icicles hanging off the house are starting to melt... pretty neat to see for a girl from SC!

Jack is not allowed to touch this window... it opens up into the den and he's so intrigued with it.

Jack's questionable Portugese haircut is FINALLY starting to grow out... YAY!

Do you think Jack and Luke look alike???? This picture of Luke looks more like Jack did as a baby. Jack always had the chubbiest little cheeks.

Here are Luke and Mommy in the tunnel. I had to turn it to black and white b/c even the red-eye correction device in my camera couldn't get it all out! Look at Luke's big eyes!

Jack loved helping Papa pump up the tires so we could take a walk.

Just enjoying the stroll....

Thursday night was Ladies Night at the Felsen casa! Mrs. Guiney came up for some dinner, story time, a game of hide and go seek and Connect Four with Jack, and then she taught us to play Mexican Dominos.... what FUN!!!

Jack is making his Valentine's....

Luke is getting ready to crawl... still practicing that rocking thing!

Last night Jack took Papa's glasses and wouldn't take them off. Seriously, he walked around with them on for an hour. He was stumbling around and looking looking at everything. We didn't think he would ever give them back... but Papa said all of a sudden he just got tired of playing with them and gave them right back :o)

Rub-a-dub-dub, two babes in a tub!

School Success!!

According to Jack's cute little teacher, Angela, Jack did Marvelous with a capital M today!! They made bubbles and played with boats. They did circle time and sang songs... she said that Jack didn't quite understand the concept of circle time.... whatever that means :o) He had zero Jack-attacks and she said he was a lot of fun to have in the class. He also taught the class to say "Danke" and "Tschuss" as we were leaving. It was adorable and I am thrilled that he had such a great time! Let's hope things go this well on Friday!

Jack's Big Day!

Jack started his pre-school class today! He did great.... at just dropping him off and leaving. I'll have an updated report after I pick him up in 45 minutes!

Michael, I thought you would think this last picture is funny :o)
