Jack last Halloween

Here are some pics from last Halloween... enjoy!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Happy Halloween! Well our first "real" Halloween together was awesome! Last year we were in SC and although we had a great time passing out candy with Grammy and Grandpa, Jack wasn't old enough to trick-or-treat, and Michael wasn't with us. Michael had today off and we carved our first pumpkin together. We really thought Jack would enjoy it... he had other thoughts. But, it was fun for us nonetheless. We went over to a friend's place around 6'ish to do some trick-or-treating in the military housing neighborhood. Jack was ADORABLE! I was a little worried that he would be scared of some of the costumes we saw, but it didn't faze him a bit. He kept trying to go into people's houses, though :o) He would say "teet" and wait for his candy. Once he figured out what was happening he was a man on a mission! He didn't put his pumpkin bag down once. Unfortunately, our teet-ing session was cut short by a screaming brother, Luke. He was probably mad at us for our poor choice in costumes for him... he went as a baby in a carseat. Poor Luke, we promise to be more original next year!

Twice is Nice!

He's done it again! Luke slept through the night again, last night!!! We couldn't be happier... or more rested :o) We all got some great sleep last night....and the world seems a little brighter today! I even think the sun might come out for a while :o)

8 HOURS.... YIPPEE!!!

YAY!!!!!! YIPPEE!!!!! Luke slept for 8 hours straight last night!!!!! I hope I am not jinxing it by posting this :o) He went to sleep about 9:15 and woke up at 5:30 am -- ate, and then went back to sleep until 8:00 am. It's funny, but both Michael and I slept terrible last night... go figure! Hopefully we'll all get some great sleep tonight :o)

The other part....

We traveled a whole 45 minutes into Luxembourg on Saturday. We have been there a dozen times since we've lived in Germany, but never really walked around in Lux City. The weather was gorgeous and so we decided to take advantage of it. We had a great time walking around the casemates (http://luxembourg.arounder.com/bock_casemates/). Jack loved his big leaves... seriously, they were the biggest leaves we have ever seen! After our stroll, we braved the Walmart-like crowd of the mall in Lux. We went specifically to stock up on beer and wine for our upcoming move. The parking garage here has to be the tightest parking garage known to man. After driving all the way to the bottom (we have to find two spots together to feel comfortable pulling our van in...ha ha!) to find a good spot, we venture in. It really wasn't too painful.... but when we got back to our car we realized we had parked RIGHT in front of the drive-thru drink shop. We could have just pulled right in and loaded up the car! Oh well.... we'll know better next time :o)

Part of our weekend...

Jack is STILL loving his puzzle!
YAY!!!! His smile, finally caught on camera! Isn't it the cutest??

Jack has initiated Luke into the world of Baby Einstein.... he's even sharing his special pillow!

Ahhhh.... our little man is growing so fast. He has just discovered his hands!

Our trip to Amsterdam

We're Puzzled....

It's safe to say that our Jack has a new obsession.... PUZZLES!! He amazes me at how good he is at putting them together. He has his favorite, of course, with trains, helicopters, boats, planes, cars... you get the drift. It is so cute. He'll fly the plane through the air and then put it right where it goes. This puzzle is so amazing, in fact, that it has almost taken the place of our dear "Lovey." Jack insists on carrying this puzzle around everywhere... he takes it for rides on his rocket, eats with it, and is now insisting on taking it to bed with him.

Good Times

Is it too early for Cheezits??? He just looked so darn cute I had to let him have one! Here is Luke in the stroller.... Jack was picking up pears in the backyard...as usual.
I can color... all over my face and hands!
...picking up more pears... what will we do without a pear tree in our backyard?
Luke is smiling now... I just can't catch it on camera, yet.

Night Night

Jack did the cutest thing in the world last night. We were reading books and getting ready for bed. At the end of his book it says "I just can't stay awake, so it's time to say night, night." Jack was sitting in my lap and said "night, night." He gets up and runs as fast as he can to his crib. I was laughing as I was following him down the hall. He climbed right up in his bed and went right to sleep! Cute little guy knew exactly what he wanted... it was time to go "night, night."

Aunt Carol if you are reading this.... Yes, that is the awesome Bills blanket you sent for Luke. Michael was so excited when we got it he put it in Jack's bed that night... it hasn't left since! Jack loves it. Maybe when he's old enough to realize it has his brother's name on it he'll give it back :o) Thanks so much!!! I really think Michael wishes it was big enough for him! GO BILLS!

Funny Jack

I went in to get Jack up from his nap and he looked like this :o) I haven't seen him try to take his shirt off before so this was a first... then he did it again after lunch. I just left it to see if he would try to take it off completely, but he just started playing. Maybe he's trying to start a new fashion trend.

Jack wasn't interested in getting dressed for bed this evening. He went and got his Dad's bike helmet and walked around with it on his head. You can't tell in the picture but he looked just like Darth Vader.
Here he is again, avoiding PJ time.
"Ha! I win!" I know this is what he was thinking!
